As a traditional family pantomime it provides great value for money, is exuberant and infectious and is just what is needed to get the festive season off to a rollicking start! A passing leprechaun sells Jack some magic beans, and when he plants them, he, Dame Jolly, Mr Chips the schoolmaster and Dick Dummox are transported to Limboland. Jack and the Beanstalk has been fantastic! Many of the jokes are fresh and importantly, it really is all good, clean pantomike. You mean apart from me. Jack’s baenstalk are so poor that they must sell their treasured cow.
He thinks his luck has changed when he falls in love with Jill, the Barons daughter. When the Princess is kidnapped by Fleshcreep, Jack is given the chance of climbing the beanstalk to Cloudland, defeating the Giant and rescuing the Princess.
There is also a good opportunity for an unusual, show-stopping ultra-violet scene optional as the magic begins to work in the garden. To add to their problems, Giant Tumbletop, who is on Egbertha’ payroll, has been terrorising the village for some time.

The show was absolutely incredible. Jack ends up with only a bag of beans to bexnstalk for his trouble. Including heaps of side-splitting humour, solid character parts and keeping the Chorus involved throughout, this sparkling new version is guaranteed to banish boredom … in your audience and cast alike!
