Ummm, on my first read of FotR, I thought I really disliked her actually. Another character who I think stole my heart is Lucian.

I am truly going to miss this trilogy and wished it never ended. Best thing I can say, is that I couldn’t put it down.
I think they could have been so much more. They are basically fucked up perfection.

But the books actually had an amazing character arc for him, both explaining where he came from and how it is he thought violence, whether with fists or otherwise, was the only acceptable way without excusing it, and also allowing the character to slowly, painfully grow into a worthy person, never sweeping the past under the rug. But when he is sent on a secretive mission to the kingdom of Charyn, nothing could have prepared him for what he finds in its surreal royal court.

They love and hate and fight fiercely and sometimes I’d read a part about the stories of how they had to be much stronger than the others to survive like they did and it would just kind of fit in a little corner of my heart. And on rereading FotR in light of what we learned about her past and what drove her at the end of that book, I ended up loving her there as well.
This is a new author for me, and I liked her writing style. Book Two …Blood sings to blood….

This is perfect since they both have a part to play to end the curse that has befallen amongst the Charyn kingdom for 18 years longer then the curse on the Lumatere kingdom. Her latest novel Tell the Truth, Shame the Devil is an adult crime novel.
Their relationship starts off with Finnikin hating the sight of her who he sees as a weak and useless girl, who is a liability to their mission. Her aunt said that when girls laughed prettily, they seemed innocent of all wrong chonicles.

They are pretty over-protective about their son, but the boy feels ridiculously love. Finnikin and his teacher, Sir Topher, travel the continent in the hopes of procuring land for the exiles. It was a journey that kind of brings you closer to your own home, where you feel more connected to your people and your mother tongue, I just can’t explain it. ,umatere
